Arc XP/Washington Post
I worked with Arc XP (a division of The Washington Post) from 2021 through 2026, creating long-form research reports and short-form tactical guides from scratch.

This report explores how publishers are incorporating AI into their newsrooms beyond the typical workplace efficiency avenues, how far they've gotten with those implementations, the challenges they've encountered, and how they're overcoming them.
I worked with Arc XP to develop a survey, send it, and promote it to publishers. After that was in the field for about 30 days, I analyzed the raw data, interviewed SMEs, and worked with our internal design team to create bespoke graphics that blended Digiday's style with the sponsor's (Arc XP, in this case).

This report explores how publishers are affected by search and referral traffic, the traffic changes they've experienced in the past year, and what they expect will happen in 2024. Digiday and Arc XP surveyed 115 publishers to understand how these traffic shifts are affecting them and the steps they're taking to address challenges.

This piece served as a test case for a new graphic style and a new report format - moving from downloadable PDFs to scrollable, on-site experiences where we could include interactive graphics and GIFs that weren't possible with PDFs. Additionally, this format was much more mobile-friendly.

As media companies look to engage younger audiences, Digiday and Arc XP surveyed more than 100 publishers and over 100 Gen Z and young millennial consumers to understand the tactics publishers use to attract these generations and how well those efforts match up with these audiences' preferences.

This was a unique report style, as our custom/sponsored content doesn't generally survey consumers. This went over very well with the client and our audience. As we moved to publishing on-site reports instead of downloadable PDFs, this was one of the initial test pages, later made available ungated to help showcase the format's popularity and the client's success.
